Many firms talk a good game about transforming into advisory powerhouses…

Spiirall’s Going Global
As the accounting industry continues to expand their global workforce, the realities of managing international employment training and development expand alongside it. Whether it’s compliance that meets the regulatory needs of both the employee’s home country as well as the standards in the US, or success skills that bridge cultural understanding and bring our global teams closer together, Spiirall is ready to lead the way in supporting our clients’ continued excellence.
We’re thrilled to introduce our new Global Learning + Development Advisor, Erin Crowley, whose focus will champion the rapid growth and success of international employees partnering with us from outside the United States. Some of the specific areas we are looking to target in the next year include detailed learning plans customized to international support, ensuring regulatory compliance for EA and CPA continuing education across borders, cultural integration and customization for existing development strategies, and international vendor training partnerships. To name a few.
Luckily Erin is no stranger to this work. Coming from 10+ year career in people operations and currently one of our amazing Talent Development Consultants at Spiirall, Erin has had the unique history of developing training for international employees combined with her growing knowledge of and passion for the unique needs of the accounting industry specifically:
“As a Human Resources Manager and Training leader in National Parks concessions, I was responsible for both the compliance and training sides of the house. A substantial portion of our employee population were international employees on visa arrangements, so it was essential to my role to become both an expert in the international and national compliance regulations that made those relationships possible, as well as provide training and development that supported cultural integration for as many as 10+ nationalities at once. This was all while maintaining effective client relationships with everyone involved, from the employee to the employer to the embassy and beyond. Combining that with mentor and coach development expertise I’ve been able to enjoy as a Talent Advisor allows me to utilize my passion for analytics and strategy alongside the human experience of loving our careers and growing in our talents and strengths. Getting to bring that to the talented individuals in the accounting universe has been incredibly fulfilling and I can’t wait to see how I can create extraordinary training that sees us through to the next exciting adventure for public accounting.”
Operating as a Talent Advisor for the past three years and leading programs like Pinion Global’s Project Leader University has allowed Erin to demonstrate her unique ability to combine accounting program development, mentor and staff development, and technical success no matter the complexity, nuance, or adaptability required. Clients that have been coached by Erin have rave reviews of her ability to listen, understand, and support resources for growth, and we can’t wait for firm leaders to start connecting and experiencing this next level of support.
In the meantime, Erin will continue to joyfully maintain all her individual coaching relationships as she shifts her consulting focus towards the global market. Look out for continued updates and insights and stay boundless!
